The Free Tarot Course for Beginners

Twelve lessons, one video each. From never having touched a tarot deck to your first full reading, with no paywall, no gatekeeping, and no memorizing seventy eight card meanings.

This is the course I wish someone had handed me when I picked up my first tarot deck. It’s free, it’s complete, and it teaches the structure underneath the cards so that meanings stop being memory work. Watch a lesson, do the exercise with your own tarot deck, take the quick check, and move on. By lesson twelve you’ll run a full reading with nothing open beside you but your notebook.

What you’ll learn

  • Where tarot actually comes from, and the five myths the real history clears up
  • How a tarot deck is built, so seventy eight cards become one system
  • The Major Arcana as three lines of seven, plus the column secret almost nobody teaches
  • All four suits, Ace through Ten, as stories instead of definitions
  • The sixteen court cards as qualities first, people second
  • Reversals: what an upside down card really is, and the four ways to read one
  • Your first full reading, start to finish, on a question that actually matters

How it works

Each lesson has four parts: a ten minute video, a short written module for review, an exercise with your own tarot deck, and a five question check. Go in order. Everything builds on the lesson before it.

  1. Watch the video. That’s where the teaching happens.
  2. Read the written module. Shorter than the video, built for review.
  3. Do the exercise. Different every lesson, five to ten minutes with your cards.
  4. Take the quick check. Five questions, no grades, just a way to find out what stuck.

What you’ll need

A Rider Waite Smith based tarot deck, the one every lesson refers to, and a notebook. That’s it. Every exercise ends with a dated page, and a year from now that notebook is the most interesting thing you’ll own.

The twelve lessons

  1. How to Use This Course
  2. What Tarot Actually Is (and What It Has Never Been)
  3. How a Tarot Deck Is Built
  4. The Hidden Map: The Conscious Line
  5. The Subconscious Line: The Middle of Everything
  6. The Superconscious Line and the Column Secret
  7. The Suit of Wands
  8. The Suit of Cups
  9. The Suit of Swords
  10. The Suit of Pentacles
  11. The Court Cards: Sixteen People You Already Know
  12. Reversals: Upside Down Isn’t Bad
  13. Your First Full Reading: The Tria Prima

Where this goes next

When you’ve finished, the intermediate course is where cards start talking to each other: some diminish the card beside them, some amplify it, and a spread stops being three separate answers and becomes one message that belongs only to you. That course, the advanced course, and the mediumship course all live on this page.

Grounded and honest. No fear tactics. Tarot is a mirror for your own intuition, and this course exists to hand it back to you.
