Course Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the online courses offered by The Tarot Medium, which I operate as a sole proprietor based in British Columbia, Canada. Throughout this page, “I,” “me,” and “my” refer to The Tarot Medium, and “you” and “your” refer to you, the student. By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or purchasing a course, you confirm that you’ve read, understood, and agreed to these terms. If any part of them doesn’t sit right with you, please don’t register or enroll.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least the age of majority in your region, and no younger than eighteen, to create an account or buy a course. By enrolling, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you give me is true and your own.
2. Your account
Accessing a course means registering for an account and logging in. You agree to keep your login and password secure, to stay responsible for everything done under your account, and to tell me promptly if you suspect someone else has gained access to it. Accounts are personal to you. Sharing an account, your login, or course access with anyone else isn’t permitted.
3. Enrollment and access
Certain courses are free and others are paid. Enrolling grants you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to view that course’s materials for your own learning. Free courses remain available to you while the course and your account stay active. Paid courses remain available for as long as I continue to offer that course, unless its page said otherwise when you bought it. This licence gives you no ownership of any course or its contents. All my courses are presented in English only.
4. Pricing and payment
Prices for paid courses appear on each course page in Canadian dollars unless noted otherwise, with applicable taxes added where required. Payment is handled by a third-party payment processor, which collects and stores your payment details under its own terms. I never see or store your full card number. By purchasing, you confirm that you’re authorized to use the payment method you provide.
5. Refunds
My courses deliver digital content you can access right away. You may request a refund through the contact page at thetarotmedium.com only if you haven’t progressed beyond Lesson 2 of the course. The moment you go beyond Lesson 2, the purchase is final and non-refundable, with no exceptions. Chargebacks filed without first contacting me may result in your account being closed.
6. My content and intellectual property
Every part of my courses, including the videos, written lessons, quizzes, images, audio, and any downloads, is my original work and is protected by copyright. You may use it only for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You may not record, screen-capture, copy, download except where I provide a download, republish, resell, distribute, publicly share, or use any of it to train any artificial-intelligence system. You may not use my materials to build or teach a competing course or service. Your licence ends immediately if you breach this section, and I may pursue any remedy available to me.
7. Acceptable use and conduct
You agree to use my courses lawfully and respectfully. You won’t share your account, post or leak course content, interfere with or attempt to break the site, or use the courses for anything unlawful. Abuse, harassment, threats, or hostile behaviour directed at me or anyone connected with my work won’t be tolerated. I reserve the right to refuse service, and to suspend or close any account, at my sole discretion, without a refund where the conduct is serious.
8. The nature of this work
My courses teach tarot as a tool for reflection, intuition, and personal insight. All content is offered for educational, spiritual, and entertainment purposes only. It isn’t professional advice of any kind, and it’s not a substitute for the guidance of a qualified doctor, therapist, psychiatrist, lawyer, accountant, or financial advisor. My courses are not a counselling, medical, or crisis service. If you’re struggling with your mental health or facing an emergency, please contact a licensed professional or your local emergency services. You agree not to make medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other important life decisions based on anything in a course.
9. No guarantees
Tarot is interpretive, and the insight you take from it is your own. I make no promise that a course will produce any particular result, feeling, skill level, or outcome. Any examples I share are illustrations, not assurances, and results naturally vary from person to person.
10. Your responsibility and assumption of risk
You take full responsibility for how you use what you learn, for the readings you give yourself or others, and for every choice you make as a result. You use my courses of your own free will and at your own risk, and you agree that I’m not responsible for the actions, interpretations, or decisions you or anyone else makes based on the material.
11. Availability and changes to courses
I work to keep the courses and the site running well, though I can’t promise they’ll always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. From time to time I may update, pause, or retire a course. Should I permanently remove a paid course you’ve bought before you’ve finished the content you paid for, reach out through the contact page and I’ll make it right.
12. Third-party links and services
My courses and site may reference or link to third-party tools, books, or websites. Those are offered for convenience, and I’m not responsible for their content, products, or practices. Any dealings you have with a third party are between you and them.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
My courses and all related content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This includes any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, my courses. Where liability can’t be excluded, it’s limited to the amount you actually paid me for the course in question.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold me harmless from any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the courses, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or of anyone else’s rights.
16. Privacy
Your use of my courses is also covered by my Privacy Policy, which explains what information I collect and how I handle it. Please read it alongside these terms.
17. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms as my courses evolve. The version posted on this page is the one that applies, and continuing to use the courses after a change means you accept the updated terms. Significant changes may also be shared with you by email.
18. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in full effect. My not enforcing a term on one occasion isn’t a waiver of my right to enforce it later. These terms are the entire agreement between us regarding the courses and replace any earlier understanding.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
